Orgalime recommendations to MEPs for plenary vote on EuP

In view of the European Parliament's second reading vote on EuP on 13 April 2005, Orgalime has issued the enclosed voting recommendations to MEPs underlining the key principles of preserving the internal market, ensuring proper and effective market control providing coherence with well established and proven concepts, especially in the area of conformity assessment:

* No “pre-distribution verification” - no additional administrative burden,

* and establishing balanced and workable criteria and procedures for the selection of product groups and the establishment of eco design requirements.
