Orgalim General Assembly 25-27 May 2020

As you know, we have been closely monitoring the evolution of the Covid-19 outbreak, notably looking for ways to adapt our activities to the uncertainty and disruption caused by the pandemic. In that respect, we have decided to review our approach to this year’s GAs as follows:

The summer GA will take place on 26 May and be an online-only assembly focusing solely on the governance items of the agenda: we will host the business agenda in the morning, whilst the policy meetings will take place in the afternoon. Please save already this date in your calendars. We will share the updated agenda, as well as the details to participate online, in the next few weeks.

The autumn GA will take place in November and be hosted in Stockholm. It will follow a similar agenda – conference, governance and social – as originally foreseen for the May GA. We aim to maintain the dates of 17-18 November, depending on the availability of the local infrastructure/hotels. We will confirm the dates and agenda as soon as possible. We are also in contact with the official hotels and will inform of the policy for transferring/cancelling the hotel reservations in the shortest possible delay.

Your safety and that of our staff and stakeholders remains paramount. We will continue to monitor the evolution and inform you of any additional measures if/when required. In the meantime, do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

We look forward to welcome you to Orgalim’s General Assembly (GA), hosted by our Swedish member Teknikföretagen. Returning to Stockholm, the GA will be a platform for engaging on the latest European policy discussions, exchanging views and insights, and connecting with peers from across the continent. In addition to the formal GA agenda items of the Business Agenda and Policy Committee meetings, we have put together an exciting agenda for participants: a high-level conference ‘Innovation with a purpose’ will be complemented by a social programme combining the beauty of Stockholm’s major landmarks with Sweden’s signature hospitality, allowing plenty of possibilities to connect with contacts old and new.

Directors and Presidents of Orgalim member associations are invited to attend the full agenda, while spouses are also very welcome to join the social programme and enjoy a few days in the Swedish capital.
